Peachy Ginger Gin Fizz
It is a gazillionty degrees in the Valley already and I can't stand it. I've been on the phone all day with the AC off because its hum is too distracting. Suddenly, I needed a cold, refreshing, crisp cocktail and I wasn't about to get gussied up and go to a bar. I used some ingredients I had already stocked in my bar cart and I'm soooo happy now.
Here's how it goes:
In a martini shaker, combine over ice the whites of one egg, 2 ounces of gin, a quarter cup of water, and a splash of Torani peach syrup. Shake rigorously until mixture is frothy. Pour into a tall glass and top off with a drop of good ginger beer. A peach slice makes a nice garnish.
